Practice profile

Culverden Veterinary Group has been operating from the Tunbridge Wells site since 1948. In those days practitioners would turn their hand to all species but since 2000 we have had species specific vets. The 6 small animal vets only deal with cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs etc., and the large animal vets only deal with the equine and farm side. This has allowed us to improve the service offered to our clients.

RCVS Accredited Practice logoOur Tunbridge Wells Surgery has been accredited as an RCVS Small Animal General Practice. This means that, in addition to complying with Core Standards, such as health and safety, hygiene and legal requirements and the provision of 24-hour cover, we also have access to laboratory facilities for diagnostic testing, have a system for monitoring the outcome of treatments and show commitment to the education and training of our staff.

All our surgeries offer off-road parking and visits can be arranged if necessary.

We endeavour to provide continuity of care so that you will see the same vet wherever humanly possible.

We are very keen on practising prophylactic medicine and will investigate cases thoroughly and promptly using modern diagnostic equipment. We have our own in house blood analysers as well as radiography, endoscopy, ultrasound, surgical and dental equipment. If we are unable to diagnose the problem we will refer you to a consultant specialist who hopefully will be able to.

We strongly recommend pet insurance for your peace of mind and so that cases can be investigated as thoroughly as possible.
